John Roberts is the founder and CEO of AO.com, one of the UK’s best-known online electrical retailers. He founded the business in 2000 after making a £1 bet that he could change the white goods industry by offering customers a better experience.
More than two decades later, AO employs around 4,000 people, operates in the UK and Germany and owns one of Europe’s most advanced white goods recycling plants. John believes exceptional customer service is central to the company’s success, reflected in AO’s consistently high customer satisfaction scores.
Alongside his business career, John is a committed philanthropist and a long-standing supporter of OnSide Youth Zones, helping to create opportunities for young people across the UK providing inspiring places that offer them somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
