Funmi Olufunwa is a Personal & Family Finance Expert and the founder of financial education provider, Hoops Finance. With over 20 years experience in finance (as a lawyer, financial coach and mortgage advisor), she’s on a mission to educate the nation and make money talk simple. With a “no judgement, no jargon” approach, Funmi delivers interactive and engaging workshops in schools, workplaces and online with the aim of demystifying the topic of money and helping people gain confidence in managing their personal finances.
Funmi is a trusted expert in the media, appearing on Good Morning Britain and BBC Radio London and has featured in national newspapers including The Times, The i paper and The Independent (which she has also started to write for).
She is an advocate for change in financial services and recently appeared in a Treasury Select Committee hearing alongside Martin Lewis asking for change to the Lifetime ISA product. She was also separately invited to Parliament to share her views on what the government can do to support first time buyers.
