Ellie Good
Ellie is an illustrator who spends her days chasing her kids, working too much, walking in the woods, eating chocolate and laughing at her cat.
At the age of 7, Ellie pestered her local MP for glass bottle recycling. It worked! And from then on, campaigning for a fair respect for nature has been an integral part of her life.
In 2009 Ellie published an indie magazine called EggMag, to encourage people to live ethically without living less. The mag published its last edition in 2011, and after having two amazing babies, the world of planet-trashing product REALLY got her goat once again.
Ellie’s illustrations are a celebration of colour and form, often focussed on the world’s incredible creatures and the beauty in nature, and in 2017, she decided to use her artwork to give people the option of buying genuinely sustainable, charitable gifts and paper goods that also look good!
Every year Ellie donates through 1% for the Planet to charities including City to Sea and Just One Tree. She takes commissions, sells her work online and through a growing list of stockists. Ellie works with people in her local area to encourage environmental awareness in her community, and in 2019 Ellie also set up The Shift, which offers bite-sized tips for greener living. Check it out if you’re after some easy to manage changes you can make to contribute to a more stable climate.
Happy designs
With a degree in fine art and a background in graphic design, Ellie’s characterful creations are an amalgamation of both disciplines. There’s nothing she loves more than making someone smile with an image. A love of the natural world, colour and shape – mixed with a good dash of character – is what makes Ellie’s illustrations so engaging.
Sustainable goods
Ellie will only ever make products that are useful and made-to-last. Single-use is not in her vocab! The materials used to print on are always recycled or made in a genuinely sustainable way, and reproduced using environmentally conscious printing companies.
