August Gawen minimalist

August Gawen is a minimalist, minimalism coach and pioneer of compassionate minimalism. In his mid-twenties August was overcome with severe mental illness and whilst looking for anything that would help, he stumbled across minimalism.

Inspired to live a simpler life, August recycled, donated and re-gifted 90% of his belongings. Through minimalism August found greater happiness and contentment. But he also found time to pursue the things that mattered to him most – healing, connection to community and meaningful work.

August writes one of the top Minimalism blogs in the UK. A pioneer of Compassionate Minimalism he highlights the challenges and joys of embracing minimalism for marginalised communities.
